Community Multidiagnostic Blood Analysis (CMBA) is offered each fall. Participants' blood samples are tested to detect diseases of the heart, liver, thyroid or kidneys; diabetes; anemia; and prostate cancer. Testing is performed locally at Soldiers + Sailors Memorial Hospital; results are then sent to the participant’s family physician for interpretation. Participants receive an explanation and a copy of the results.

The Community Multidiagnostic Blood Analysis Program

The Community Multidiagnostic Blood Analysis (CMBA) program provides the foundation for detection of diseases at early stages through blood analysis. CMBA is an important tool in preventive health care by assisting the health care provider in diagnosing and treating disease. These tests can often unmask diabetes; diseases of the heart, liver and kidney; and other health problems which may have otherwise gone undetected. The CMBA screening program is offered once a year in September. For more information please call Laurel Health System. 800-808-5287 or 570-723-8436.
