On June 22, 2010, the Laurel Health System Board of Directors recognized and congratulated Soldiers + Sailors Memorial Hospital employee Porthia Shannon for her selection as Soldiers + Sailors Memorial Hospital’s 2010 Hooked on Service award recipient. Porthia, who works in the Environmental Services department at the Hospital, was selected as the Hooked on Service award winner for her positive and friendly attitude and overall excellence in the performance of her job.
