WELLSBORO, PA–Become a babysitting pro with Laurel Health's one-day babysitting class on Monday, November 26 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pennsylvania College of Technology-North Campus, located on Route 6 between Wellsboro and Mansfield. The American Red Cross Babysitter's Training Course is an exciting, hands-on learning experience that teaches 11- to 15-year-olds important role model and leadership skills, as well as training in infant and child care.

Students will learn about safety, problem-solving, effective communication, interviewing for babysitting positions, and emergency preparation, including how to handle illnesses, injuries, and household accidents. Sue Sticklin and Robin Flynn will serve as course instructors. A certificate of completion will be awarded. Participants will need to pack a lunch, including beverages. The course fee of $30 includes the participant manual and DVD. 

Pre-registration, including payment, is due no later than Wednesday, November 21st. Space is limited to 15 students, and the class will fill up fast. Call 570-724-0615 for more information or to register today!
