MANSFIELD, PA—As a part of their week-long study of bears, the children of the Bradford-Tioga Head Start’s Mansfield PM classroom participated in a “Teddy Bear” school project. All of the children received a teddy bear from Nora Gridley, the mother of their classroom teacher aide Stacy.
During the week, these teddy bears were taken on a “bear hunt” where the children utilized their handmade binoculars. The week closed with the children taking part in a special “Teddy Bear Picnic” lunch in tribute to the famous song of the same name.
