WELLSBORO, PA--Laurel
Health System employees and community members shaved their head or
donated 10 inches to Locks of Love in support of the American Cancer
Society’s Relay for Life during the recent “Cut for the Cure,” event held in
the Woodland Park Upper Pav
ilion, Wellsboro.
The event was sponsored by the 2012 Laurel Health LAN Rovers Relay for
Life Team. Participants raised money through donations from friends
& family eager to see them with a new hair do! “I made the Cut” pins
were given to each participant. Even those not participating were
encouraged to attend to purchase bake sale goodies, Luminaria bags, or
raffle tickets for a $100 gift certificate, a Mary Kay or Avon gift
basket, and a lap quilt. Refreshments were also available for a $5
donation to the ACS.
If you would like to support Relay for
Life, stop by and visit with one of Laurel Health System's four Relay
for Life teams at the Wellsboro High School Track on Friday, July 13,
2012 through Saturday July 14th. The opening ceremonies begin Friday at 6
p.m. Hope to see you there!
