COUNTY, PA—A flu shot is your best shot to stay healthy this fall! The
Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends a yearly influenza (flu)
vaccine as the first and most important step in protecting against flu
viruses.
Laurel Health will be holding public flu shot clinics throughout
Tioga County during the month of October. Vaccinations may be purchased
for $25; cash and Medicare Part B are accepted. Mark your calendar for
the date and location of the vaccine clinic closest to you. No
appointment is necessary; walk-ins are welcome!
Wednesday, October 10 at Morris Fire Hall, 9:00- 11:30 a.m.
Wednesday, October 10 at Blossburg Fire Hall, 6 – 7:30PM
Tuesday, October 16 at Millerton Senior Center, 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Wednesday, October 17 at Elkland Fire Hall, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Wednesday, October 17 at Knoxville Community Bldg., 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Sunday, October 21 at Wellsboro Fire Annex, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Monday, October 22 at Westfield Senior Center, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Tuesday, October 23 at Tioga Fire Hall, 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Monday, October 29 at Mansfield Fire Hall, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
People at high risk of serious flu complications include young
children, pregnant women, people with chronic health conditions like
asthma, diabetes or heart and lung disease and people 65 years and
older. If you or a loved one fall into one or more of these categories,
vaccination is highly recommended.
