BLOSSBURG, PA—On Wednesday, July 11, Laurel Health System Pro-Am Representative Tom Jones, awarded Ken Percy Johnson, Vice President of the North Penn Little League, and Little League players Camden Wilcox and Justin Kling with a donation of $1,000.
The funds were raised by Laurel Health System’s Pro-Am Golf Tournament last September and will be used to align and maintain the fields used by 130 children ages 5 through 14. North Penn Little League includes players from Blossburg, Morris Run, Arnot, and Covington. “Laurel Health System has been very good to us over the years,” notes Johnson. “We really appreciate the support.”
Through outstanding community support, the LHS Pro-Am Golf tournament has raised more than $379,500 over the years to benefit thousands of children, allowing local students the opportunity to pursue healthcare careers on scholarship, and local recreation programs to utilize the funds to purchase necessary grounds upkeep, team uniforms, and much-needed equipment, ensuring they run safely and effectively.
