WELLSBORO, PA–From Sunday, May 9 to Saturday May 15, The Green Home will be featuring famous faces of the past with their “Old Hollywood Glamour” theme as part of their National Nursing Home Week celebrations.
A brand new, fun, theatrical skit will be featured every day at 10:30 a.m., and Monday through Thursday evening, residents will kick back to favorite old movies and popcorn. In addition, to those daily activities, each day of the week introduces a unique activity for residents and staff that highlights the Nursing Home Week 2010 message of “enriching every day.”
Sunday, May 9: The public is invited to help kick off Nursing Home Week with a Mother’s Day church service
followed by refreshments at 2:30 p.m.
Monday, May 10: Ice Cream Social for Residents & Staff at 10 a.m.
Tuesday, May 11: Bar-B-Q Picnic for Residents & Staff at 11:30 a.m.
Bible Study at 2:30 p.m.
Dance Group at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, May 12: Volunteer Luncheon at 12 p.m.
Residents will enjoy refreshments, prizes, and Casino games—featuring bingo, card games,
a roulette wheel, and more at 2 p.m. Dean Martin stops by at 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 13: Subway Luncheon for Staff at 12 p.m.
Karaoke at 2 p.m.
Friday, May 14: Emmy Awards with appearances by Elvis, Judy Garland,
and Aretha Franklin at 2:30 p.m. Public is welcome to join in the fun!
Saturday, May 15: The public is invited to join our residents and staff for an exciting Nursing Home Week
celebration with delicious cake and punch at 2:30 p.m.
