TIOGA COUNTY, PA – Program coordinators for youth activities in Tioga
County should apply now for funds raised by the Laurel Health System
Pro-Am Go
lf Tournament, held September 17
at the Tyoga Country Club. Funds are awarded based on need, the number
of youths involved in each program, and the program’s ability to meet
funding criteria.
The Laurel Health System Pro-Am
scratch-and-scramble has continually drawn the attention of many local
golfers and sponsors, as well as golfers from southern Pennsylvania and
New York. Since its inception, the Laurel Health System Pro-Am has
raised over $379,500. These funds have been used to benefit area
recreation programs and to provide scholarship monies for local youths
interested in pursuing a health care career. Twenty-four organizations
benefited from the funds last year.
The deadline for
application is Saturday, December 1. To apply, please contact the Laurel
Health System Development Office by phone at (570) 723-0494 or by email
at hmessineo@laurelhs.org.
