WELLSBORO, PA—A wonderful time was had by all at the eighth Holiday Shopping Soirée on Saturday, November 3 as shoppers jumpstarted their holiday shopping for a great cause. From 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Dunham’s Department Store and Furniture Store were open exclusively to soirée ticket holders, who enjoyed a 20 percent shopping discount, door prizes, hands-on craft and cooking demonstrations, delicious food, live music, and free gift-wrapping!
Shoppers sampled fine wines and cheese, pumpkin spice cookies, peanut chicken, white cheddar shortbread, chocolate truffles, caramel pecan Brie, and white sangria punch as they snagged great deals on all the latest fashions, appliances, and furniture. Stan Tokarz won the 50/50 raffle prize, taking home $111.
“We thank all of our sponsors and everyone who participated for their ongoing support,” said Faith Preston, Soldiers + Sailors Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Volunteer Coordinator.
Proceeds from the ticket sales will be used to outfit Soldiers + Sailors Memorial Hospital’s new Same Day Surgery unit opening this November.
