TIOGA COUNTY, PA—Sue Howe was recently honored by her co-workers for her 25 years of dedicated service to Bradford-Tioga Head Start. When retiring in December 2009, Howe requested that the staff members purchase books to be given to parents and children instead of an event to celebrate her years of service.

Over 60 books were donated in her honor, and Howe distributed these books to families at the recent Parents Spring Fling event on Friday, March 12.

“I was honored to be in attendance and hand a book to each of the families present,” said Sue. “It truly made my heart smile.”

Bradford-Tioga Head Start, a Laurel Health System program, offers state and federally funded programs for children, ages newborn up to the age of 5, pregnant mothers, and families. For more information, call 1-800-808-5287, Extension 400.
