WELLSBORO, PA—Are you concerned about memory problems? Get screened. On Tuesday, November 13, The Laurels Personal Care Home in Wellsboro will be offering free memory screenings from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. as part of National Memory Screening Day, a national initiative by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. Appointments are not necessary; walk-ins welcomed.
“The screenings are free, confidential, fast, and most importantly, they serve as a first step toward proper detection and treatment,” says Deb Wivell, RN and Administrator of The Laurels. “Knowledge and proper care can make all the difference.” The event will also provide an opportunity to learn more about Alzheimer’s disease, aging, and community resources.
For more information on the free memory screenings, call The Laurels at (570) 723-6860. To learn more about National Memory Screening Day, visit www.nationalmemoryscreening.org.
