Children from the Bradford Tioga Head Start SAM IV classroom eagerly exam the new books they received from the Troy High School Interact Club.
TROY, PA—The Troy High School Interact Club (Junior Rotary) program is heavily involved with the community. Each year, Interact clubs complete at least two community service projects, and through these efforts, club members learn the importance of developing leadership skills, personal integrity, helping their community, respecting others, and gaining an understanding of of responsibility and hard work.
This year, the Troy High School Interact Club collected money and books from local businesses to donate to the Head Start Classrooms in the SAM (Sayre-Athens-Milan) center. Once the books were collected, they were presented to every child enrolled in one of the four SAM classes. The children were excited to receive a book that they were then able to take home to share with their families.
