Laurel Youth Services' Williamsport Community Based Program is pleased to announce the awarding of grant funding from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency to implement Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care (MTFC) for a three-county region of central Pennsylvania over the next four years.
To kick off our implementation of Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care, Laurel Youth Services has invited representatives of TFC, Inc. to come to the area to meet with our "stakeholders" for this project. We have confirmed Friday, October 31, 2008, as our Stakeholders Meeting with Gerry Bouwman, President, TFC, Inc. Mr. Bouwman will give an overview of MTFC, steps for implementation, and, most importantly, how this nationally recognized "blueprint" model program impacts high-risk youths and families.
The meeting will be held on the premises of Tioga County Human Services located in Wellsboro, PA, speciafically the Tokishi Building at the following address: 124 NYPUM Drive, Wellsboro, PA 16901. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will end at Noon. Light refreshments will be provided.
