Viva Las Vegas Candlelight Ball
The fun that happens in Vegas doesn’t have to stay in Vegas! Enjoy the excitement of Las Vegas nightlife at Soldiers + Sailors Memorial Hospital Auxiliary’s “Viva Las Vegas” ball on Saturday, February 18 at the Penn Wells Hotel in Wellsboro. Ticket holders will take advantage of fun-filled, Vegas-inspired games, activities, and entertainment! Please RSVP to Faith Preston, SSMH Auxiliary and Volunteer Coordinator, at (570) 723-0191 by Monday, February 13, as seating is limited.
The evening begins with an hors d’oeuvres social hour, followed by four-course fine dining at 7 p.m. Dinner guests will be treated to an appetizer shrimp cocktail followed by a tossed bed of greens with mandarin oranges. The main entrée will be a choice between chicken madeira or bacon-wrapped stuffed pork tenderloin served with sautéed asparagus and wild rice. Finishing off on a sweet note, guests may select marble cheesecake or a fresh fruit tart.
From 9 p.m. to midnight, attendees can dance the night away courtesy of “Epic Party” DJ Entertainment. Seating is limited, so be sure to RSVP by Monday, February 13th. The cost is $60 per person, and all proceeds benefit Soldiers + Sailors Memorial Hospital.

Volunteering At SSMH
If you enjoy being around people, lending a helping hand, and have a few spare hours each week, then read on. This may be right for you! You could become a volunteer at SSMH in Wellsboro, PA. Volunteers staff our Information Desks, the Outpatient Registration Area, and the Emergency Room, deliver flowers and mail to patients, transport patients to the Radiology area, and assist in many tasks that help the staff provide the care needed by your family and friends each day.
