Our sixth year of Helping Hands philanthropy is now officially underway. And here's some GREAT news: instead of $250, for this ONE YEAR, the Helping Hands ticket price has been lowered to $200 ($150 for Patrons)... but the Grand Prizes will STILL include $10,000, $5,000 and $1,000!

For this sixth season, the raffle duration will be shorter than usual, consisting of 20 bi-weekly drawings rather than the usual 50 weekly drawings. The first bi-weekly drawing will be held on Monday, June 16, 2008. Every other week we'll give away $100, $50, and $25. And every 10 weeks, we'll give away $250!

A CHANGE OF PACE... AND PLACE: A Hawaiian Luau-themed Gala will be held at the Radisson Hotel in Corning, NY on March 21, 2009. Ticket holders may attend the event at no charge. The guest fee also remains unchanged from previous years: still only $15!

Join us for our KICKOFF EVENT at Soldiers + Sailors Memorial Hospital's Pine Grove Café in Wellsboro... this Tuesday, May 20, at regular meal times (10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. or 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.). We'll also be celebrating at the Laurel Youth Services cafeteria in Blossburg that day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

What is the Helping Hands Raffle?
The Helping Hands Raffle is a fundraising event which benefits Laurel Health System, through the purchase of needed equipment and funding of crucial programs. The Helping Hands Raffle combines fun with philanthropy, creating a powerful force. Only 500 tickets will be sold, at a cost of $200 per ticket. Ticket holders are then entered in a series of drawings. There will be 20 bi-weekly drawings for $100, $50, and $25. There are also three "bonus" drawings for $250!

The Grand Prize drawings, which will take place at the Radisson Hotel in Corning on March 21, 2009, are your chance to win $10,000, $5,000, or $1,000! Ticket holders are invited to attend - free of charge - the annual Helping Hands Gala to observe the Grand Drawings. The event includes a fun-filled social hour and a delicious dinner. A guest may accompany you for only $15.

Profits from the Raffle are used to benefit Laurel Health System, as described on the "How Funds Are Used" page.

What is a Helping Hands Patron?
Helping Hands Patrons are individuals who want to support the Helping Hands Fundraiser without participating in the raffle. Patrons are not eligible for any of the prize drawings, and the cost for participation reflects that - $150 instead of $200.

Like Raffle ticket holders, all Patrons are invited to attend the annual Helping Hands Gala at no charge, with a one-guest fee of $15. There, you'll enjoy a wonderful, fun evening learning how your donation is being used to support the mission of Laurel Health System.
