general recommendations and treatment planning
If requested by the county, these findings are represented
in court by Diagnostic Classification Center clinical staff.
The youths undergo diagnostic testing in a highly structured,
reality-based environment where behavior can be observed
in day-to-day living situations.
Because of the high staff-to-client ratio and clearly
defined behavioral limits and expectations, staff are able
to work effectively with youths who have run away from
other settings.
Many youths make significant behavioral gains during their
35- to 45-day stay.
Reports, prepared by Diagnostic Classification Center
clinical and counseling staff, have gained the confidence
and respect of the juvenile justice systems and children’s
services agencies across the states of Pennsylvania and
New York. These reports not only offer clear, concise assessments
and recommendations, but are written in a jargon-free style
that allows for practical, sound decision-making for successful
planning for youths.
Education: During the day, the youths attend an on-campus
school provided by the local school district and staffed
by certified teachers and counselors.
