LAUREL YOUTH SERVICES, has served delinquent and dependent youths since
1976. Professional staff work in a variety of treatment settings
dealing with issues including sexual and physical abuse,
low self esteem, and substance abuse. The majority of our
clients exhibit emotional and behavioral problems. Because
these youths have come from circumstances that have interfered
with healthy development, they need carefully planned intervention
in order to change. Laurel Youth Services’ programs
are designed to provide such interventions and opportunities.
Through our programs, youths examine their behavior, develop
skills, and learn to make necessary changes so they can lead
successful, productive lives.
RESTRICTIONS: Laurel Youth Services Programs are not licensed
medical facilities and therefore cannot accept adolescents
who must be supervised by trained medical personnel. Psychiatric
care and monitoring are provided through our association
with Laurel Behavioral Health, a department within Laurel
Health System.
ADMISSIONS TO LYS PROGRAMS ARE ACCEPTED ONLY THROUGH
A REFERRAL FROM COUNTY CHILDREN & YOUTH OR JUVENILE
JUSTICE SERVICES
Parents or guardians seeking help for adolescents should
contact their local Children & Youth Agency for guidance.
